Triangle Plot

A triangle plot is also called a ternary plot. It is usually based on three variables. The three variables plotted will always equal to a particular constant. The plot above represents percentages from a soil texture analysis. The two variables are sand, clay, and silt. The variables on this example equal to one hundred. This particular plot could use geologic purposes, to check the solubility of the soil, health purpose, agriculture, or construction.
