Bivariate Map

A bivariate map is a display of two variables on a single map by combining two different sets of colors. The image above is a map of the percentage of votes for John Kerry in the 2000 presidential election versus each county's population in 2000. The two variables are assigned specific colors. The percentage of votes for John Kerry is represented in green and the county population is represented in lavender.
