Cadastral Map

Cadastral maps give detail about a property or a specific area. These particular maps can give just about any detail about an area. The maps can show land boundaries, specific landmarks and features, zoning, and they can also tell the history of an area. The image above is a 1909 cadastral map of Olmstead Park in Portland. The map was used to show how the small area was connected to other small districts in Portland such as streets, water, and sewage mains.
