The stem and leaf plot show the frequencies in which particular classes of values occur. The image above is a display of grades made on an exam. The left column of the plot is considered the stem and the right column is considered the leaf. A combination of the numbers with show the grades made on the exam. For example 3/5 is equivalent to 35. The grades are plotted as followed 35, 59, 60, 70, 72, 73, 79, 82, 84, 87, 92, 96, 96, 98, 98, 98, and 100.
