Chloropleth maps are thematic maps that are displayed with a particular pattern or shading based on the area being displayed. The maps above are examples of Chloropleth maps. The maps represent the percentage of couples divorced in the United States in the 1980. Map a show the percentage by city and Map B shows the percentage by state. The data shows that more couples on the west coast were divorced than those on the east.
